Diaper Rash (Diaper Dermatitis)
Diaper rash is a frequent concern for parents, especially in infants. It occurs when the delicate skin in the diaper area becomes irritated due to prolonged exposure to moisture, friction, or irritants like urine and feces. Diaper rash presents as red, inflamed, and sometimes blistered skin, causing discomfort to the child. Preventing and treating diaper rash involves keeping the area dry, changing diapers frequently, and using barrier creams or ointments. In more severe cases, antifungal or antibacterial treatments may be necessary to address underlying infections.
