Warts
Warts are benign skin growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They can appear on various parts of the body, including the hands, feet, and genitals. Warts are contagious and can spread through direct contact or contaminated surfaces. While generally harmless, warts can be unsightly and sometimes painful. Wart removal treatments include over-the-counter salicylic acid, cryotherapy (freezing), candida antigen therapy, bleomycin injections, and other minor surgical procedures. Early wart treatment can prevent spreading and reduce discomfort. At SKN Dermatology, we use a variety of treatment modalities to treat both children and adults.
